Questions about official DuPage County criminal records belong with the public office that created or maintains the file. This private reference site cannot retrieve or alter government records. Use the routes below to reach the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Clerk, DuPage County Sheriff, an arresting police department, or Illinois State Police according to the record needed.

This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull criminal records, run official background checks, remove or correct a record, or accept expungement filings for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the right government office directly.

Need an Official Record?

Send each DuPage County request to its legal custodian:

  • Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
  • Criminal records and self-review transcripts: contact the Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification
  • Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the DuPage County Sheriff or the arresting municipal department
  • Official Illinois checks: use the Illinois State Police process and a licensed fingerprint vendor when required
  • Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
  • Expungement and record sealing: file with the court that heard the case

For filed criminal cases, contact the Circuit Clerk Criminal/Traffic Division, 505 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, IL 60187-0707, at 630-407-8600. Counter hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays except court holidays. For Sheriff-created reports or Correctional Center records, use the official DuPage County Sheriff site to confirm the correct unit contact on the County Farm Road campus.
